Sweden has given us a lot of things over the years. In 1865, Alfred Nobel invented dynamite, in 1958 Rune Elmqvist came up with the pacemaker and, most importantly, in 1947 a store called Hennes (Swedish for ‘hers’) first opened in the Swedish city of Västerås. Offering well designed yet highly affordable fashion pieces, word soon spread, with the store becoming H&M following the takeover of the outdoor shop Mauritz Widforss. Attracting the sponsorship of ABBA’s Anni-Frid Lyngstad in 1973, global expansion would follow in the 1980s. The 90s brought with it modelling from the Big Six — Elle Macpherson, Cindy Crawford, Naomi Campbell, Claudia Schiffer, Christy Turlington and Linda Evangelista — and by 1998 H&M had entered the online shopping arena. Today, H&M stands as a world-leading fashion brand, celebrated for its unfussy yet undeniably fabulous designs.
At H&M you’ll find something for all occasions, whether you’re dressing for work, the pub or the night of your life. Fellas can enjoy the fine cut chinos and a silk blended polo or premium cotton shirt, whilst ladies have a huge selection of drawstring dresses, belt dresses, killer jumpsuits and so much more. Kids have their very own designs too - it’s never too early to start looking this great. With a growing emphasis on sustainable fashion, the styles come without guilt at H&M.
